After a successful first edition, the Ticino section of The Federation of Swiss Architects (BSA-FAS Ticino) is delighted to announce the second edition of Tomorrow. This competition of ideas is open to all architecture students enrolled at a Swiss university and young architects under the age of 30 with residency in Switzerland.
For this second edition, conceived in the shadow of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the still unresolved challenge of climate change, we have set the term resilience.
Resilience signifies the capacity to withstand adversity, to be able to recover from difficulties; to bounce back.
Resilience can also mean the ability for something to spring back into shape; to show elasticity.
Resilience can be hard or soft.
It could suggest a tiny gesture or a big one.
The topic may be interpreted in multiple ways; literally or more abstractly.
These questions are waiting to be addressed with an idea, a vision, a statement. We are not expecting a comprehensive study,
but a well-considered position or approach.
